Say Yes with Eliette: Reid and Hannah

Hannah recounts the serendipitous start of their love story, “We met on an island when we were 24 and 26. My boat got stuck with the tides, and I had to ask him for help to get it out. He was the only other person on the island that day. We fell in love very quickly and got married 10 months later.”

However, the idyllic beginning of their relationship soon faced challenges. “I made the tough decision to take our children and move away to file for separation,” she shares, reflecting on the trying period that tested their bond. For Reid, the separation became a catalyst for change. “He spent the last year doing whatever it took to get his life together and win his family back,” Hannah recounts.

The turning point arrived on the shores of Vero Beach, FL, a place holding significance in their journey. “He asked me to remarry him… in the town that saved his life,” says Hannah.

Asked why she chose Eliette for her engagement ring, Hannah reveals, “I found Eliette while browsing wide-band rings online and instantly fell in love with the Reid Oval. I couldn’t believe that was its name because my fiancé’s name is Reid…It’s honestly even better in person than I dreamed of. I’m still in shock.”

Their story serves as a reminder that love, though tested and strained, holds the power to overcome even the greatest obstacles. As their son poignantly asked, “Does this mean dad is coming home forever now?” In Reid and Hannah’s story, the answer is a resounding YES.
