Say Yes With Eliette: Gilbert & Lorri

Gilbert and Lorri’s love story is as real as it gets. They first crossed paths as teenagers in Southern California, lost touch for a while, and then reconnected in their early 20s through the maze of social media. What started as casual hanging out turned into a relationship that never hit the brakes.

The proposal unfolded in a romantic haven called the Mountain Lodge Estate in Los Gatos, a sprawling 23-acre property offering serenity and charm. Gilbert, the mastermind behind the surprise, coordinated with the host to set up an enchanting scene under a gazebo. Lorri said YES and a weekend getaway ensued, filled with private hiking trails, a sauna/spa, and other delightful amenities, all leading to a celebration at the Forbes Mill Steakhouse.

We asked Gilbert why he chose Eliette for their engagement ring and he said:

“I browsed a few other websites and found myself constantly going back to Eliette. I also found myself asking a lot of questions about carat size and dimensions and a ton of other things. I really wanted to get a feel for how the ring would look on an actual finger as opposed to pictures. I saw the virtual consultation option Eliette offered and honestly it set you guys apart.
