Say Yes with Eliette: Erwin and Jaimee

Erwin and Jaimee’s story began in 2013 when they met on Tumblr as teenagers. Despite having mutual friends, they had no initial plans of dating, but something clicked, and within a year, they decided to make it official.

Living in different cities—Erwin in San Francisco and Jaimee in San Jose—their relationship started off as a medium-long distance one. Over the next 11 years, they navigated significant life changes, including Erwin moving to Denver for college and Jaimee relocating to Chicago to work at a family restaurant while finishing school. Despite the physical distance, they managed to stay connected and supportive of each other, eventually finding their way back to their hometowns.

After more than a decade together, it was no surprise to those close to them that a proposal was on the horizon.. Wanting to make the moment special, Erwin blindfolded Jaimee and took her to the Filoli Historic House and Garden in Woodside. Their families were discreetly waiting nearby as the couple walked through the garden. When they arrived at a blanket with rose petals and a basket, Erwin asked Jaimee to marry him with the Vivi Pear and Princess.

We asked the couple why they chose Eliette and they said:

“Initially, I wanted to go in the direction of ethically sourced diamonds, and in our search, she fell in love with a few of the products you have to offer. While not initially a part of what we wanted, we were both really happy to learn that you were also a local woman-owned/led company team!”

After 11 years together, Erwin and Jaimee are now looking forward to what comes next, grounded by the experiences they’ve shared and the life they’ve built together.
